2nd year anniv at work

it's my 2nd year anniv here. daming blessings, magandang career, visited a lot of places, new car, new friends, good health, wonderful family, beautiful children, so many to mention.

dear Lord, thanks so much for giving me all these things.

it's been ages since my last post, first, i find a hard time retrieving my password, second i am too busy to blog or tamad lang talaga.

quick updates:

- april 2012  - baby bear and I went to HK after my side trip to SG. it was my super late treat to my daughter for her achievements in school. we spent 3 days and 2 nights in HK, it's a package tour arranged by broadway travel. package includes, airfare via PAL, hotel accomodation, city tour, night tour, disneyand, madam tussad, wax museum etc.. the tour was a blast, except for 6 hours delayed on the way back to manila due to typhoon.
- june 2012 - monty came - our new baby (2012 model 4x2 SUV, AT transmission)

- july 2012 - my children's birthdays - baby bear has turned 10, while bunso is now 4 years old and in kinder 1. this is also the month where i have been busy travelling in switzerland, my first time to set foot in the land of cheese. will be back in october, so i'm looking forward to celebrate my birthday there.

- august 2012 - habagat strikes Luzon, caused vast floods all over manila, QC, Laguna and Cavite area. my second year anniv here in the company.

my 1st year anniv in the company

how time flies, one year na ako dito sa company ko.

parang kelan lang, hirap na hirap akong mag adjust sa process at system dito, ngayon medyo nakakasanayan ko na. dito kasi di uso ang training, you have to fly on your own - you may ask, pero not everything will be told. you have to find it on your own, no matter how tedious it will be.

am i happy? maybe yes, maybe no. as usual dillemma of the working mom, sometimes i had to sacrifice some quality time with my kids in exchange of getting the work done. there are countless of weekends already that i had to give up to finished some task. i also had to be away to attend overseas meetings. somehow, fullfilling in terms of my professional career. pangarap ko ding maging full time homemaker, but not too soon. siguro pag kumpleto na yung pang tuition nila up to college.

venting lang. anyway, happy anniversary to me!

it's been a year!

grabe, it's been a year since i last posted. dami na ring mga pangyayari sa buhay-buhay, personal at career. 3 years old na si bunso at pumapasok na sa school. si baby bear naman grade 4, at nagdadalaga na. parang kelan lang kinakarga ko pa yun, ngayon di ko na kaya, sobrang bigat na.

last end of June, we held our annual family out of town tour in Laoag Ilocos Norte. We stayed in Fort Ilocandia and availed of the tour packages for Vigan and Laoag City. It was an educational tour for Baby Bear as she learned a lot of things in history, knew some facts about the late president Ferdinand Marcos and visited old churches in Ilocos, most of which were made out of corals (amazing!) we also tasted famous bagnet, pinakbet at longganisang vigan, yung ibang dishes sa sobrang unique ng pangalan di ko na maalala. impressive ang infrastracture sa Ilocos, mataas ang quality of education, walang sirang kalsada, maayos ang irrigation sa mga farm, nakakabilib, parang wala kami sa probinsya, nag-enjoy kaming lahat sa trip.

Welcome back to me!

Howdy, blogging friends! It was such a long time since my last posting, and I'm really really sorry for that.

I'd been into hybernation for quite some time, my schedule won't allow me to upate my journal. Time is flying so fast, my two kids are all grown ups - Justin has just turned two last July 5, super kulit at likot na bata. Baby bear is now in 3rd grade, she'll be turning 8 on July 28, no party preps, we will have a simple celeb at home, it will be more economical though requiring more cooking labor on my part, ok lang yon, I love to cook.

Btw, I got a job last Feb 8 as purchasing manager in garments industry - however, I only stayed for a couple of months - until first week of July to be exact. I love my job and the people I worked with, especially whom I've met in Hongkong and China, but I'm having a hard time working -without the automated system in place, working with the plant manager who assumed "she knows everything" as if she doesn't need any manager at all.

Now, I'll be working again, with different industry beginning on Aug 2, I was so blessed that I got couple of weeks vacation to take care of my family and it didn't took me long to find a new one. God is so good talaga- the blessings are overflowing - I can't ask for more.

I'm busy packing Papa bear's stuff, he will be in Baguio for a 3 days seminar- excited na siya kasi 1st time niya maging officer sa SEIPI and it gives him more opportunity to expand his network.

I have a lot of things to be thankful for- it was such a wonderful 2010 for me and my family. God bless us all! Amen.

Welcome 2010

happy new year everyone! i'm sorry if i haven't much time updating this blog, am too busy with the household chores etc... etc...

may this 2010 will be the best year for most of us, i must say 2009 was just a fine year for me, not the best in terms of my career, but i'm glad i was able to experienced how to run the house, taking care of everything from budgetting, planning family travels, sending baby bear to school, attending school meetings, etc.. etc.. everyday was a learning experience for me, from cooking ordinary ingredients to extra ordinary food, and seeing how Justin grow, his 1st step, 1st word, hai, it was indeed a milestone for me.

we also took time off to visit relatives from the province, it was such a great experience seeing them again.

i'll update more in the coming days. again, happy new year to all! May the good Lord continue to bestow his blessings upon us.

typhoon ondoy and some life's update

i'm back, it's been a while since my last posting, sobrang busy sa mga household chores. ang hirap pala talagang maging "housewife" parang 24x7 ang duty (he he he). ang mga housemaid ko kasi come and go sila, wala pa akong makitang trustworthy. hindi ko rin ma focus ang paghahanap ng work kasi worried ako kung kanino ko iiwan si bunso.

daming realities sa amin ng bagyong ondoy, walang mahirap at mayaman when typhoon strikes. ilang malalaking village sa amin, until now waist deep pa rin ang mga bahay nila, halos wala silang naisalbang gamit, yung mga sasakyan, sira lahat. nakaka trauma talaga. pero the good side of it, nakita ko rin, ang true meaning ng bayanihan, mapa artista o ordinaryong tao ka man, lalabas at lalabas ang pagiging bayani sa panahon ng pangangailangan. i'm proud to be a filipino, kasi kahit anong bagyo ang danasin, nakakangiti pa rin. at ganon ko rin na realized na there are a lot of kindhearted people who are always there to help, ang bilis ng flow ng mga cash donations sa abs at gma, in a week halos naka 100M na ang dalawang network. gusto gusto ko sanang mag volunteer sa scout bayoran para mag pack ng relief goods, wala lang talaga akong oras. naalala ko tuloy kung open pa ang company namin, i'm sure magpapadala yun ng donations at volunteers sa qc.

thank God walang masamang nangyari sa amin, ako lang kasi ang kasama ng mga kids sa bahay si papa bear eh na stranded sa pavillion the whole night, sobrang taas na kasi ng baha sa mamplasan, ako naman i'm very much worried kasi sobrang lakas ng current sa creek na malapit sa entrance ng village namin, iniisip ko paano ko bubuhatin ang mga gamit sa sala, in case na tumaas ang tubig, buti na lang medyo mataas yung area namin di na inabot ng tubig. pero ngayon halos knee deep pa rin sa main entrance ng village kaya ang mga car di pa rin maipasok dito, kung saan saan na lang ipi na park ng mga taga rito ang sasakyan nila. apaw rin kasi ang laguna de bay.

i am thankful dear Lord for everything, for keeping my community safe, for bringing out the best in us, i was able to witnessed how helpfull the filipinos are. thank you for another year, i almost forgot to celebrate my birthday last oct 3, because we are worrying too much on typhoon pepeng, thank you so much that You didn't allow it to landfall, it stayed in the pacific ocean all through out. i thank you for all the blessings and for helping me do my share to help others. all these i prayed in Jesus name, Amen!

1 year old na si bunso

whoa! sobrang tagal kong di naka blog, di ko kasi maalala ang password ko he he he pati rin sa gmail account ko, di ko tuloy maopen ang mails.

recently, Justin had a blast, we had a simple celebration at home last July 5, joined by relatives and friends. nag, pa cater na lang kami, di ako nag attempt magluto at baka pumalpak lang, sanay ako sa konti lang ang lulutuin. everything went well naman, kahit sobrang lakas ng ulan, di natuloy ang games for the kids, kasi outdoor yung na prepare namin na program. sobrang thankful ako sa mga nagpunta, sa mga in laws ko na sa Cavite at Marikina pa nanggaling, salamat po at napasaya ninyo kami.

Ate will also celebrate her 7th bday on July 28, the party will be held on July 26 at Robinson's place, we initially plan a swimming party, but since, rainy season na, baka masayang lang ang rent sa pool, so she decided to have a jollibee party instead. pero napansin ko lang iba na ang mga kids ngayon, when we asked her kung ano ang gusto niyang gift, PC ang hiningi, so yung na save namin na budget for the party, naibili ng HP Pavillion core 2 duo.

i'm back

grabe, almost 2 months kaming walang internet, ngayon lang dumating ang technician to replace our broadband antenna, i missed my blogging world and my virtual friends.

some life's update: eto i'm a full time mom, since May 1, di pa rin naman ako naghahanap ng work, i'm enjoying being a hands-on mom, although minsan sobrang hirap talaga, wala na kasi kaming helper at yaya, to save cost, wala rin naman akong makuhang trusted nannies at efficient helper. i hope we can find one soon, para maka concentrate na rin ako sa paghahanap ng work.

i'm still waking up early, nasanay ako sa routine ko noon, i missed the corporate world, esp the late night meetings, my regular 1:1 with my boss, my vf peers, my office cube and most esp the salary he he he...

i hope i could land a job, the soonest possible time, dami pa kasi naming financial obligations, di pa namin fully owned itong house and of course our daily expenses.

btw, justin is now 10 months old, super kulit at likot, he can now say some words like "dada", "tita", ate" and "tatay", parang mas madali sa kanyang i pronounce ang letter "t" ang mommy di pa niya kayang sabihin.

baby bear naman has gained some weight, mukhang inenjoy ang kusina while i'm here, ha ha ha...

si papa bear, buti naman ok na ang company nila, tumataas na ang volume at inalis na rin ang mandatory time off na no work no pay, mukhang di na siya nag wo worry na magkaroon ng retrenchment sa kanila. Thank God!
